Good to know

Halal dining questions, answered

What does 'fully halal' mean on Halal Food Network?
It means every meat and chicken dish at the venue is halal. We also state the certification — HMC, HFA or self-declared — and whether alcohol is served, so nothing is left to guesswork.
How do you verify listings?
A person checks each listing: certification documents, alcohol policy, opening hours and contact details. Every page shows the date it was last verified, and anyone can report an inaccuracy with one tap.
What is HMC certification?
HMC stands for the Halal Monitoring Committee, one of the UK's strictest halal certifiers. HFA is the Halal Food Authority. We badge both clearly; venues without third-party certification are marked 'self-declared'.
Is it free to list my restaurant?
Yes — basic listings are free forever. Claiming your listing lets you add photos, menus and opening hours, and correct any details.
What does the Food Hygiene Rating mean?
It's the official UK Food Standards Agency score from 0 to 5, based on hygiene inspections of the premises. We display it on every listing.
